Darron Johnson grew up on the Georgia coast near Savannah. When he first began photographing, night time was his only chance to to go out and take pictures. He soon became fascinated with how the ordinary became extraordinary at night. The wide range of light sources such as street lights and tungsten lights create surreal colors. At times, buildings seem to float in darkness. Now that he lives in Atlanta, most of his work is done in the city but he is planning to take more trips to the Georgia coast, his favorite place to photograph.
